Why hello there! These bullet points are a bit out of date, and my list of passions has expanded, but here's a little info about me:
I did programmery things over at LIV, where I worked on a bunch of cool projects. One of my proudest accomplishments was creating and doing the nerdy technical parts of our mobile mixed reality app. After four amazing years it was time for a change, and I’m now looking for what’s next.
I love all things virtual, augmented, and mixed reality.
After a brief attempt at college, I decided to go back to working full-time, and pursue what I believe will be a more complete education through work and self-learning.
I have many thoughts on how computer science is taught in schools, and how it could be much better, but for now, I'll share Rachel Thomas's excellent blog post on fast.ai's teaching philosophy. I did their Practical Deep Learning course and loved it.
I care deeply about climate damage, having experienced disastrously bad air quality. I currently volunteer with Citizens’ Climate Lobby to help get desparately-needed pollution fees into law in the US.
I was born and raised in San Francisco (by non-techie parents!), and I love this city more than anything else.
You can watch me awkwardly ramble about my work at LIV on camera here.
